Privacy that matches how Ryvic works.

Effective September 3, 2026. This policy covers the Ryvic iPhone app and its supporting web services.

Private conversations and shared games

Signed-in players can send one-to-one messages and published game links. Ryvic stores message text, participants, shared-game references, read positions, and message reports to deliver conversations and enforce safety controls. Messages are private to the participants, but are not end-to-end encrypted. Text is sent to OpenAI for automated safety checks before delivery. Authorized moderators can review messages that participants report. New contacts must accept a request before a conversation continues. Blocking stops messages in both directions. Account deletion removes conversations involving that account, including their messages and reports, from both participants’ inboxes. Do not send sensitive personal information.

Information Ryvic handles

Ryvic stores game descriptions and edit requests, generated games, submissions, scores, recent plays, content reports you send, creator-block choices, account and device identifiers, product-interaction events, and App Store purchase history needed for Studio credits, such as the product, transaction, and purchase date. Reports and block preferences are linked to your app installation or signed-in account so Ryvic can review reported games and keep every game from a blocked creator out of your view. If you turn on build alerts, Ryvic stores an Apple Push Notification service token linked to this app installation so it can tell you when a build finishes. Ryvic also receives unlinked aggregate crash, hang, CPU-exception, and disk-write-exception counts to identify reliability problems; raw diagnostic stacks are not uploaded by Ryvic. If you use Sign in with Apple, Ryvic also receives the account identifier and any name or email Apple provides with your permission.

AI game creation

Creator sends the game description and edit requests you choose to submit to Anthropic or OpenAI. These providers process the text to generate your game. Ryvic asks for your consent before the first transfer and tells you not to include sensitive or identifying information.

Why the information is used

Information is used to run games, finish and recover Creator builds, send build-ready alerts you request, save drafts and scores, verify Studio credit purchases, prevent duplicate grants, process refunds, secure accounts, prevent abuse, review content reports, enforce creator blocks, understand reliability, review submitted games, and improve Ryvic. Build-alert tokens are not used for advertising. Ryvic does not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Service providers

Ryvic uses Apple for sign-in and app distribution, Vercel for hosting, Postgres for application storage, OpenAI or Anthropic for game generation, Clerk for supporting web authentication services, and PostHog for product analytics. Providers receive only the information needed for their role.

Retention and deletion

Local progress stays on your device until you reset it or remove the app. Server records are kept while needed to provide the service, secure the system, resolve support issues, and meet legal obligations. Creator games remain saved until you delete them; deleted games remain recoverable for 30 days before permanent removal. Turning off build alerts disables the installation token; Apple also tells Ryvic when a token is no longer valid. Signed-in account deletion removes the account’s shared games, content reports, creator-block preferences, and other associated Creator data, while legally required pseudonymous purchase records may remain. Anonymous Creator users may request deletion using the support address below.

Your choices

Arcade play does not require an account. You can report a community game, block its creator so all of their current and future games are hidden, and manage or undo blocks from Safety or Settings. Build alerts are optional and requested only from an active build; you can turn them off in Creator or iOS Settings without affecting the build. You can reset local progress in Settings, delete a signed-in account in Player, and withdraw AI-processing consent from the AI & privacy control in Creator. Withdrawing consent stops future AI builds but does not undo processing already completed.
